Ann Collins Ph.D.,NP,LPC

Dr. Collins is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and Licensed Professional Counselor with over thirty years experience in public health and psychiatric nursing. She earned a Ph.D in Counseling Education and a Masters Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Wayne State University, Detroit. She also holds certification as a CAC-I Addictions Counselor.

Dr. Collins specializes in children, adolescents, and families. Her special areas of research interest include stress and coping in college students, adolescent and young adult substance abuse, and violence and trauma in children.

Currently Dr. Collins practices at Mental Health Professionals, PC, and is an Assistance Professor at Wayne State University, College of Nursing, Department of Family, Community, and Mental Health.
